Celebuzz Lance Armstrong: A Look Back at His 7 Tour de France Wins (VIDEOS) http://www.celebuzz.com/2012-08-24/lance-armstrong-a-look-back-at-his-7-tour-de-france-wins-videos/ Aug 24th 2012, 19:00 Lance Armstrong declared Thursday night that he's had "enough" with the doping charges brought by the United States Anti-Doping Agency, even if it meant giving up his famous Tour de France titles. Since 1999, the 40-year-old has won seven-consecutive races, and nabbed third place in 2009, before confirming his retirement in 2011. Now, the cyclist faces a grim fate as the USADA — the official anti-doping agency for Olympic, Pan American and Paralympic sports in the U.S. —  is threatening to ban him from the sport and strip him of his wins. Though it remains unclear whether the organization has the proper the authority to revoke Armstrong's wins, one thing is certain: Armstrong's has has a lot of wins. He defended his cycling career and specifically took aim at Travis Tygart, the chief executive of the USADA, in his statement posted to his website: USADA cannot assert control of a professional international sport and attempt to strip my seven Tour de France titles. I know who won those seven Tours, my teammates know who won those seven Tours, and everyone I competed against knows who won those seven Tours. We all raced together. For three weeks over the same roads, the same mountains, and against all the weather and elements that we had to confront. There were no shortcuts, there was no special treatment. The same courses, the same rules. The toughest event in the world where the strongest man wins. Nobody can ever change that. Especially not Travis Tygart.
